David Lynch, 59, of Roanoke Rapids, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.
He was born in Halifax County, son of the late Cecil Lynch and Nellie Elizabeth Wilder Lynch. David was a successful businessman in the Roanoke Valley and was the owner/operator of David Lynch’s Locksmith Service. He was a dedicated member of the Valley Community Church, which he loved dearly.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Milton and Nellie Wilder; paternal grandparents, Thomas J. and Clara Kidd Lynch; special uncle, Earl Lynch.
David is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Price Lynch, of Roanoke Rapids; two brothers, C. Thomas Lynch ,Jr. and his wife, Lynne, Donald Lynch and his wife, JoAnne, all of Littleton, NC; nephews, Chris Lynch and his wife, Tracy, Kevin Lynch and his wife, Amy, Michael Lynch and his wife, Anna, Brandon Lynch and his wife, Jena, Aaron Lynch and his wife, Jessie, Justin Lynch and his fiancée,
Amanda Thomas, Corey Lynch and his girlfriend, Hannah Moore; nieces, Crystal Gordon, Evie Gordon, Kimberly Brown; special uncle, Milton Wilder,Jr and his wife, Betty; cousins, Annette Raines, Michael and Kathy Lynch, Judy Clark.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 12, 2016, at Valley Community Church, Weldon, NC, with Pastors David Schmaltz and Tom Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids. The family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Church from 12:30 pm until time of service.
