TRILBY FLOYD SLEDGE
Trilby Floyd Sledge, 89 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 in Signature Health Care. Mrs. Sledge attended New Testament Christian Church. She also worked as a City Clerk with the City of Roanoke Rapids for 30 years.
Mrs. Sledge was born on August 9, 1933 in Halifax County, the daughter of the late Verla Jordan Floyd and Lofton Iry “Pop” Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Sledge, Jr., her son Steven L. Sledge, her sister Marie Davis, and her nephew Dallas Allen.
Surviving include her two sons Robert Sledge (Nancy) and Scott Sledge (Tina), 6 grandchildren: Marcus Sledge, Samantha Sledge, Kayleigh Sledge, Taylor Sledge, Christopher Sledge, and Ethan Sledge; one great grandchild Sarah Sledge; and her niece and nephews: Kenneth Allen, Elizabeth Stone, and Charles Allen.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in Wrenn Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Daniel West officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
